Tale
In the timeless town of Macondo, seven generations of the Buendia family build props and sets for a series of communities that explore love, oblivion, and the inevitability of their past and their fate. Spellbound. A visual marvel and philosophical masterpiece. Pure magic. So light and easy to watch, yet so profound. An adaptation that definitely does justice to the source material. I wish I could speak Spanish, as I’m sure it’s better in the original, but it’s quite stunning in English. Needless to say, the cast is amazing. Simply amazing. It’s a near-perfect translation of Gabriel Garcia Marquez’s Magnum Opus: One Hundred Years of Solitude. Beautiful cinematography, a puzzling and interesting plot, insanely written characters, a love letter to Gabriel! It made me want to read the book again after decades. No need to waste time scrolling endlessly – here’s the full lineup of new movies and TV shows streaming on Netflix this month.
